The Bicycle Superstore Women?s Road Team is delighted to announce that Em Viotto and Lucy Bechtel have both signed with the team for 2015. The two Canberra based riders will make their debuts with BSS in December and are keen to take on the National Road Series in the New Year. Entering her third year racing in the NRS, Em Viotto is keen to build on her 2014 season and give it her all. ?I had a really good season this year so I am looking forward to what the 2015 NRS brings.? With hard work and a positive mindset, there are big things to come!? Em also commented she is looking forward to being a part of the Bicycle Superstore team and enjoying her racing as a part of the great line up for the coming season. ?I am super excited to join the Fluoro Army for 2015.? The girls are always having a good time on and off the bike.? I?m honoured to be joining a positive, strong and professional team?. Lucy Bechtel spent last year racing with a development squad and took part in the second half of the NRS season with some strong results.? She is eager to enter her first full year of tackling the NRS and building on her experiences from 2014, and will have her first race with the team at the Tour of Bright in the coming weeks. ?I’m really excited about coming into my first full year of NRS racing.?My brief introduction to the NRS season late this year certainly has me hungry for more. I’ve discovered?there’s no better feeling then road tripping with team mates to a country town with a full weekend of riding ahead. It’s also such an exciting time to be involved in women’s competitive cycling as it transforms and defines itself.? Lucy is looking forward to being a part of the current line-up, and also being involved in developing women?s cycling from the ground up with the work done by the team in conjunction with sponsor Liv Australia. ?I’m absolutely stoked to become part of the Fluoro Army for 2015. It?s hard to believe the calibre of the team I’ll get to race in?- from team mates with years of racing in Europe to the National Time Trial champion. It will be a privilege to be able to learn from their racing experience. I’m also a big believer in the work Bicycle Superstore does with Liv to promote women’s cycling and I hope to be a part of that next year.? Team DS Chris Savage is excited to have the new team members on board as they continue to add to the depth of the overall team line up. ?It is fantastic to have Lucy on board for the coming year as she has showed some great climbing talent which is an area we have been targeting to add even more depth to our current rider list.? Em will also bring great strength and experience, and has proven to be a rider who can push to her limits and not be afraid to get into a break away.? The team will line up shortly for the Tour of Bright and the Supercrit in Melbourne, and will start the New Year racing at the Bay Crits and National Championships.
