The Boss Racing Team is delighted to announce a quality line up of riders for its 2015 National Road Series campaign.? Boss finished its 2014 season on a high, with a stage win from team veteran Davina Summers at the Goldfields Tour.? ?The stage win, coupled with some other really good results throughout the season, provided a lot of momentum for our team, and the interest and support in it grew beyond our expectations? says team manager Tegan Elferkh.? ?We?re really excited that our work in developing the team has paid off, and we?re looking to the 2015 season as something we will really be able to get our teeth into? says Elferkh. Key to the 2015 line-up is the return of Davina Summers, one of the most experienced racers on the domestic circuit.? ?Davina has been pivotal in our team?s development? comments Elferkh. ?Her depth of experience and on road leadership has been unparalleled,? she continues. One of Boss? key signatures is its versatility and the flexibility it provides for its riders.?? This has resulted in the return of Lisa Antill, Bethany Dunne, Alice Wallett and Rachel Ward to the team for its 2015 season, and the recruitment of Gemma Ansell, Lisa Keeling, Emily McRedmond, Nicole Moerig and Crystal Wemyss.

?We recognise that our riders are not just road cyclists,? says Elferkh.? ?We focus on providing a model where we can be competitive on the road and seek good results, as well as understanding the lifestyles and different interests of our riders.? We are comfortable that with the mix of riders we have for 2015 we will be able to field very strong teams at every NRS event.?? And there is indeed a good mix of riders in the 2015 line up: from time trialists, to climbers, hardy breakaway riders and GC contenders. New recruit Lisa Keeling, who has spent the past two years racing with Bicycle Superstore, shares her thoughts on Boss? 2015 team. ?I am really excited to be involved with such a dynamic team.? Everyone is keen to learn from each other and to contribute to the team?s goals.? With the line-up for 2015 we?ll have a lot of firepower which will really enable us to think outside the square and put other teams under pressure in races,? says Keeling. ?As a local Canberran, I am particularly excited about racing with Boss in 2015.? It?s been amazing to see the support Boss has received over the past two years; and I?m very keen to be more involved with Boss? active contributions to women?s cycling.? Boss will continue to run its women?s development squad in 2015.? To date, its development squad has seen a number of novices compete in the NRS.? ?I feel quite privileged to be able to race nationally, and simultaneously actively mentor newer female riders as they get started,? says Keeling.? ?I remember all too well how overwhelming it was getting started in cycling and I love that Boss is trying to break down the barriers in that regard.? The team will be well supported in its NRS and development endeavours by team Director Sportif Sian Mulholland, who has just been awarded the International Olympic Committee?s Women and Sport Award 2014 for the Oceania region.? ?It will be fantastic working with Sian in 2015?, says Keeling.? ?To quote Cycling Australia?s chief executive Nick Green “She is an inspiration for not just our sport, but for women in sport in general.”?
