The African Wildlife Safaris Cycling Team would like to thank Joel Pearson for his commitment and dedication over the past 2 years as Director Sportif of the team. Joel has been instrumental in taking us from a fledgling team, to one of the serious contenders in the country. The team would like to thank Joel for his friendship and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. But…………a few words from the man himself………… ?It is with much regret that after two great years with one of, if not the fastest growing NRS teams in the country, I will be stepping away from my position of Director Sportif at the African Wildlife Safaris Cycling Team to pursue another career. I have been offered a role that I have been chasing for a few years now and time has come to stop ‘living the dream’ and make a future for my young family. It has been a highlight in my life being part of this team and helping the guys to reach their full potential. I would like to thank Steve Waite and Steve Cameron for recruiting me and letting me share the ride which ended in directing the team to the 2014 Grafton to Inverell win, plus the VRS individual and teams titles (not quite in the bag but pretty close!) I’d also like to thank ‘the boys’ over the past two years for their dedication and making it fun. Cheers.” Joel Pearson
