Tonights stage marks the first of the mountain stages, it also marks the first time the Tour will pass through a gravel section since 1991. After the riders have had a chance to heal their wounds from the Roubaix stage, it will be interesting to see who takes this stage to attack the GC and who decides to take a more defensive approach, trying to solidify their position for the stages to come.
