In the Toxfree Masters Launceston Cycling Classic, Shannon Johnson (St Kilda Cycling Club) raced away from Adrian Adams and Scott Smith to claim victory. The race offers the largest prize pool for an event of this kind in Australia, and attracted a large field.
“It is great that the Launceston Cycling Festival are looking after the Masters riders,” said Johnson, who rides in the National Road Series with CharterMason Giant, after his win. “That prize money will help me buy extra Christmas presents for the kids!”

Mitchell Wright from Illawarra Cycling Club took out the Safe U17 male criterium from Zachary Marshall and Angus Collins, while Sarah Gigante beat Alice Culling and Anya Louw in the female counterpart.Isla Bradbury clinched victory in the U15 female race over Olivia Saunders and Katrina Chung-Orr, as Henry Rawling edged Alexander Micallef and Joshua Brodie in a bunch sprint for the U15 male criterium crown.The Stan Siejka Launceston Cycling Classic concludes the 2015 Launceston Cycling Festival, an annual weekend of junior, masters, elite and participation riding in picturesque Tasmania.
