Arbitrage Racing is pleased to announce the launch of its new women’s team for 2016. Formerly known as Wormall Civil CCS Women’s Team, the new look team will be known as Alexium – KHT – Etixx in 2016 following the signing of a new key sponsor, Alexium International.
The new sponsorship association between Alexium International and Arbitrage Racing provides a unique opportunity for members of the women’s team to travel to South Carolina in the United States of America to compete within the Greenville Health System Cycling Team. The team competes in the elite category of American Cycling much like the Subaru National Road Series (NRS) that Arbitrage Racing now competes in.
“Arbitrage Racing is about providing an opportunity for riders who are outside the sports institute programs” Director Sportif Matt Poyner said, “We know that there are only so many people that can make an institute program but that doesn’t mean a rider isn’t good enough to reach the top level of the sport”
The women’s team will compete in selected NRS races during 2016 and also target the Gran Fondo World Championships being held in Perth, Western Austrlalia.
Team owner Tony Anderson said, “The synergy created between Alexium International and the cycling teams GHS and Arbitrage Racing, will create a mutually beneficial situation for riders travelling to America and American riders spending time in Perth.”
In 2016 Arbitrage Racing are also excited to be partnering with the National Cycling Centre WA to support its female programs including the highly successful Body-Bike-Fit initiative. The Body-Bike-Fit program, designed and delivered by NCCWA Head Coach Amanda O’Connor is a first for WA and an essential initiative to grow the sport of female cycling.
