The Australian Performance Cycling Network, the group behind Genesys Wealth Advisers Professional Cycling announced their new sponsors and roster today. The UCI Continental team that helped launch the careers of Richie Porte, Will Clarke and Garmin Sharp Duo Nathan Haas and Steele Von Hoff will be known as Huon Salmon Genesys Wealth Advisers p/b Praties in 2013. After taking out the coveted Teams competition in the National Road Series for the 3rd time in a row this year, the organisation is keen to extend their winning streak into the future with an updated look and an even stronger squad.

Long time major sponsor Genesys Wealth Advisers will now share naming rights with Huon Salmon for 2013. ?We are thrilled to have Genesys back for another year. They are more than just a sponsor to us they are part of the family and we enjoy working with them? team manager Steve Price said. ?Its also great that we have been able to bring in another big non-industry sponsor.? Huon are a Tasmanian success story. They are world leaders in Salmon farming and production and have grown from humble beginnings to become a real force in sustainable aquaculture? said Price. ?They have a meticulous approach to everything they do and that flows into their involvement with us and their desire to promote the health benefits of salmon.? The team will also see a change in bike sponsors for 2013 with Avanti taking over from Malvern Star. The Quantum and innovative Corsa?? DR will be used for road races and the Chrono Evo 2 for time trials. ?We loved our time with Malvern Star they are great bikes but we are really looking forward to working with Avanti. Avanti are bike people, they live and breathe bikes and they are passionate about everything they do. The Chrono Evo 2 is an incredible bike in its own right but the Corsa?? DR is ground breaking.? Price said.? Also new to the team is Torq Nutrition who will provide race and recovery products while long standing sponsors Champion System, Adidas Eyewear, Sram, Zipp, Praties, Perth Integrated Health, Aussie Butt Cream, Park Tools, Kenda, Zero, Giro and Blackburn all remain.

On the road the team will continue with it?s core group of proven performers but coaching guru Andrew Christie-Johnston has recruited some exciting new talent which he says makes the team the strongest it has ever been. Pat Shaw will once again captain the team backed by the experience of Jai Crawford, Nathan Earle and Anthony Giacoppo with new signings Joe Cooper, Aaron Donnelly, Jack Beckinsale and Alex Clements all keen to impress. Cooper and Donnelly bring powerful engines and a wealth of experience. Clements had a big 2012 and showed that he has the engine to be a real threat in the mountains and hilly stage races. While Beckinsale comes into the already formidable sprint line up and will work with Giacoppo, Jones, Robinson and Shaw to maintain the teams strength in criteriums and sprint stages.
