A solid line up of riders travelled from far and wide for the 2016 Orica Kermesse held on closed roads near Newcastle?on Saturday.
Marvellously hosted by the Hunter District Cycling Club, the Kermesse was run on the smooth bitumen?of the Hunter Economic Zone, a little-used industrial park closed for the event.
Attracting a wide-range of riders, from enthusiastic amateurs?right through to current and future NRS stars, there was wonderful camaraderie through the field.
In the Division 1 Mens race Ben Hill (Attaque Team Gusto) and Dylan Sunderland (State of Matter MAAP Racing) put on an awesome break with Hill ultimately claiming victory.
Laura Renshaw (Hog?s Breath Cafe TineliWomen?s Race Team) out-sprinted Melanie Breadon for the win in the?thrilling?Division 1 Women’s event.
Peloton Cafe photographer Nat Bromhead was there to capture the action – check out our gallery below the results!
