2012 Tour of Belgium - Andre Greipel stage 2 Today Andr? Greipel won his second consecutive race in the [W:Tour of Belgium]. In a mass sprint in Knokke-Heist nobody was faster than the explosive jump from the German. For Greipel it?s his ninth win of the season. Because of his victory, he obviously stays on top of the general ranking.   [W:Andr? Greipel]: ?Yesterday I might not have been the fastest in the last straight line, but today I was. I felt more fit and stronger. The last hundred meters don?t lie. It took a while before the escaped riders were caught, but we were able to count on the devotion of guys like Van de Walle and Cordeel. I?m able to let me slide along in the slipstream, but they had to go to the limit during the race. I?m happy their work is not in vain. At about one kilometer and a half from the finish line Henderson picked me up to drop me in the right position. Once again my team was superb and I?m very happy to have this team to work with.?   Sports Manager Marc Sergeant: ?There is always pressure on the sprinters to win, especially when knowing we had three flat races. We gathered one day earlier, to go through everything one more time extra. If it delivers results, we can only be happy. For Andr? himself there?s a load of his shoulders after his double win. He?s surrounded with guys he like and this should give him peace and confidence in his preparation for the Tour.? 2012 Tour of Belgium Stage 2 Results & General Classification
