Meet the baby of the Team Hitec Products team, Norwegian Siri Minge. Rather than being born with skis on her legs as she claims most Norwegians are, this Norwegian was born with cycling shoes. The baby of the team, 19-year-old Siri Minge from Stravanger, Norway, inherited her love of cycling from her Father. Admittedly however, like some inherited traits, it took a little while for her to be convinced it fitted. Her Father?s not so subtle suggestions to start bike racing when she was younger ? he brought her a new bike out-of-the-blue one day (how nice!) ? helped Siri make the decision to switch from her multitude of other sports like handball, horse riding, athletics, climbing, water polo and swimming to just one; cycling. While she was at first resistant, the ?cycling bug? is now firmly in her veins, ?my favorite place in the world is on the bike saddle, because there I can experience the world in a whole lot of different ways!.? ?I could never imagine living a life without training! For me, training isn?t something you should do, it?s a part of my life which just has to be done,? Siri says. It is this passion combined with her work ethic, drive and talent that landed her on Hitec Products in 2013, which will be her first year in the senior ranks. Joining riders like Elisa Longo Borghini and Emilia Fahlin, Siri will have the opportunity to grow and develop as a cyclist over the next few years and will undoubtedly be a name to watch in Norwegian, and international cycling in the future. Watch out world, she?s not just a pretty face. Moto she lives by: Pain is temporary, glory is forever! Her last meal would be: Coq-? vin, because it?s the best dish in the world!
